Introduction

Diploma Pharmacy Program is to train student to become a trained and talented pharmacist assistant. After graduated from this program, student will be able and competent carry jobs like dispensing, read prescription, prepare sterile and non-sterile condition, prepare prenatal nutrition, storage, medicine record, understand prescription in “Akta Racun Berbahaya” and “Racun Berjadual” and understand their role in Pharmacy department and observed all rules and regulation in Pharmacy industry in this country.

Three years learning process in this college is devided into theoritical and clinical industrial part in Hospital. The theoretical part in the college carry out in four semesters (2 years) consist of lectures, tutorials, quizes, tests final exams and practial for certain subjects. The clinical industrial will be carry out during semester 5 and 6 (1 year) at government hospital that have an MOU agreement with Geomatika College International. For the time being, there are three hospitals that have agreement with this college which are Hospital Serdang, Hospital Tanjong Karang dan Hospital Ampuan Jemaah (Sabak Bernam)

Facilities in the faculty

Laboratories for practical class:

  • Extemporaneous laboratory: used in small scale extemporaneous practical in making medicine for example syrup, cream, powder, external used solution.
  • Chemical laboratory: used in general chemistry subject and for chemical analysis research.
  • Sterile laboratory: used in production of sterile medicine with aseptic technique.
  • Mock dispensing: used in practical as an assistant pharmacist to improve communication skill and practice good manners when dealing with patient.
