Faculty of Architecture and Environmental Design is established as the realization towards the connection of land survey field and of course construction. It was the second academic faculty established in mission to produce creative and intellectual students in architecture and construction area as well as to fulfill the industrial needs of assistant architects.
GCI’s Faculty of Architecture and Environmental Design is unique and idiosyncratic where our goal is to educate students in the discipline of architecture professionally. We ensure the education here in GCI also discourses in the discipline by engaging the culture around us and expanding the traditions of architectural thought and practice.
All staff in the Faculty are dedicated and are experienced in the industry by practicing at architecture firms before. The experience will be embedded in their teaching to produce students that fit the architecture industries needs.
Two programs in the Faculty are already full accredited by the Malaysia Agency Qualification (MQA) and students can enjoy the privilege on working with Public Service Department (JPA) and doing degree by credit transfer with local universities (however this always referred back to universities terms and conditions)
Our diploma programs address important professional concerns—creativity, intellectual advancement, professional and ethical responsibility, technical innovation, and civic engagement—while developing students’ imaginative and intellectual abilities in order to provide the information and strategies needed to address contemporary design practice.
