Greetings,
Praise to God the Almighty that Geomatika College International has been one of the renowned Institution of Higher Learning in Malaysia. The accomplishment is due to the synergistic effort by its stakeholders directions laid by its founder in its transformation plan 2011-2020.
In year 2012, Geomatika in its ten years of age has entered its third stage of its transformational plan towards upgrading to be a University of Choice, organizational competitiveness, brand creation and international competencies.
Geomatika in 2012 has 4000 students with 200 lecturers having at least a post-graduate degree. The institution and study programs are accredited and have delivered a five and four star cluster ratings by MyQuest in 2011.
In our next 8 years from 2012-2020 desired to become a world class university with its modern campus sprawling on a 200 acre site at the cool mountain side of Ukay Ulu Kelang, Kuala Lumpur, part of Titiwangsa Mountain Range. Some targets for the next 8 years are:
i) to acquire at least 20,000 active and quality students
ii) to train 90% students as entrepreneurs and 10% researchers
iii) the waiting period for an alumni to get a job is three months, and
iv) the competitiveness rank of Geomatika to be the 10 best in Malaysia and 200 worldwide and 90% of the study programs are accredited ‘A’ rank
To achieve the desired vision and mission 2012-2020, Geomatika has reformulated the transformation strategy and functions as follows:
1) To embrace academic & skill excellent with International standard and adopt the international best practices in education in line with the Government Transformational Programme.
2) To be relevant, referred and respected. Quest to become a sophisticated knowledge base university with synergic collaboration with research institutions and industries.
3) To produce scholarship that is qualified, open-minded and dedicated with excellent communication skills and critical minded students to take advantage of global job opportunities.
4) To provide world-class education system that provides knowledge-based manpower to propel the country into an innovation economy.
5) Transforming competitive and spirit of entrepreneurship to produce a profile of graduates who have professional expertise relevant to their fields of study, are masters of information technology and able to communicate in Foreign Language.
